USMNT won 1-0 against Paraguay in a “test match”

United States managed to win with a single goal against a Paraguay team that was also testing new players in the national team looking forward for the Qatar 2022 qualifiers.


The United States Men’s National Team scored the winner through a penalty shot by Wood at the end of the first half. Many people, including Americans in that group, assure the penalty was a bad call from the referee as the USMNT’s player just fell inside the box.


The match had attempts from both sides throughout the first and second half being the South American team the most inclined to the offense.


On a particular note, George Weah’s son, Timothy Weah, debuted with the American national team as he entered the field at minute 86’ for Delgado. He, as one of the young players on this roster, represents one of the many talents the USMNT is proving for the following Qatar qualifier in mind.


On the other hand, USA is planning an international friendly tournament between national teams that failed to qualify for this year’s World cup at Russia. Rough sides as Chile and Netherlands could be part of this event that will take place at the same moment of the World Cup, dragging just a bit the fan’s attention. Many of this youngsters could be called to face this great teams as the USMNT keeps getting ready for the future.
