The Pride draws 1-1 against The Utah Royals

March 25, 2018

Orlando Pride could not achieve a victory in the 2018 National Women’s Soccer League opener against the Utah Royals and begin the season the same way Orlando City did, with a 1-1 draw coming.

The game’s goals came in the first half as Brazil International Marta equalized 1-1 with a great penalty in the minute 19’ after Utah Royals opened the scoresheet with just 3 minutes on the clock.

With this penalty, Marta has scored now 14 official goals since her arrival.

However, after an intense second half, our ladies could not score an advantage goal as Utah Royals managed to secure their own side of the box. Marta was, indeed, the best Orlando Pride player on the field as her influence inclined the pitch towards Utah’s box.
