The Pride acquired the Swedish defender from the Houston Dash in trade where Orlando gave the natural third-round pick in the 2019 NWSL College Draft.
The 21-year-old left-foot defender is another international acquisition for head coach Tom Sermanni’s amazing roster. She played back in Sweden for Pitea IF in the 2016-2017 season before joining Boston Breakers -which ended operations this 2018- and then the Dash.
On the other hand, Orlando Pride signed an international-proven defender who won the 2015-2016 UEFA U-19 Women’s Championship in Israel against a strong side as Portugal which was the favorite team after defeating Germany in the semifinals.
Hopefully Lotta will adapt quickly in Sermanni’s full-of-stars team and performs at the highest level possible for our beloved Pride. The Swedish youngster will have the amazing experience of sharing team with historic players such as the Brazilian myth Marta and the USA’s star forward Alex Morgan.
