As OrlandoLionsDen reported few days ago, Canadian striker Cyle Larin will remain on Besiktas after Orlando City and the Turkish directive reached an agreement.
Turkish journal “Posta” and Besiktas news site “Besiktas Haberleri” assured earlier today that the European side won’t let Cyle Larin go and will do the respective procedure to keep him on roster. In fact, the 22-year-old could play in the Turkish SuperLigue against Bursaspor this week.
At the moment, sources declare that Cyle Larin’s saga will finally end but details about the actual deal are yet to be known, nevertheless, everything points out that Besiktas will have to pay more than $3 million on transfer fees.
However, this ends a long and difficult chapter with Larin, who trained with the Turkish club since the beginning of January, evading his legal responsibilities with Orlando City and his teammates. In addition, Besiktas seemed tough and non-cooperative till the pressure from Larin’s contract with the Lions became an obstacle for their plans. For now, is just matter of time for the official word of the transfer by City media.
Regarding to Orlando City’s directive, they acted accordingly for this particular case, not letting go so easily a key player such as Cyle Larin. Nevertheless, this must be treated as a example for the future to prevent a similar situation that can harm -a lot- The Lions image and plans for the season.
With this anticipated departure, OrlandoLionsDen analysis about The Lions striker’s situation are coming to the spotlight, will Dom Dwyer and all the new forwards signing be enough to sustain City’s offensive?
