Chris Schuler might be joining Orlando City in the 4th Season of MLS

January 24, 2018

Orlando City preseason training has begun for the fourth MLS season and there is something new coming up every single day. From Cyle Larin taking part in the training camp of Turkish club to the former RSL center back Chris Schuler training with the Lions has made the headlines after the preseason training has started.

Chris Schuler might be the newest inclusion to the Orlando City squad and Jason Kreis and the rest of the coaching staff is ecstatic to have him in the side. Chris Schuler, who has taken part in the first day of the preseason training camp is likely to be a part of the side in the upcoming season. He can bring stability and experience to the OSCS and that's what the coaching staff might be thinking at the moment.

Jason Kreis is Hinting on Signing Chris Schuler

Jason Kreis and Chris Schuler share a strong relationship and they understand each other very well. Jason Kreis himself is very excited to have Chris Schuler in the side. Schuler has worked with Kreis when he used to play for RSL from 2010 to 2013. Jason Kreis himself stated that the coaching staff of OC is very comfortable working with Chris Schuler as they have previously worked with the player at Real Salt Lake.

So, it seems the newest addition to Orlando City squad is none other than Chris Schuler. Adding him to the side is such a huge plus for the Lions as he is a tremendous player. Chris Schuler is 30 years old and he is an experienced player and that is the reason he has been added to the side considering just how little depth Orlando City has. Jason Kreis has hinted that they are going to sign 2 more players and Chris Schuler might be a possible signing.

The only question mark is the fitness and health of Chris Schuler. Because, he is 30 years old now and he really has to work hard in order to maintain his fitness and avoid any injury. Chris Schuler is definitely going to be a part of the Lions family and fans must be very excited yet worried about his fitness and injuries. From Johnson to Allen to Chris Schuler, Jason Kreis is definitely valuing old relationships and familiarity. So, the overall Schuler addition to the side is indeed a good sign.
